11 more in the app
A small version made for your phone. Selecta itself is a Mac app with a lot more on screen: every column, filters, the track panel and the sets you played.
- Genre from the record
- Every track is looked up on Discogs and the record's own style decides. Jungle stays Jungle. The sound fills in where Discogs can't.
- The moment in the set
- Warm-up, build-up, peak or closing, judged against its own genre, so an ambient record isn't measured against techno.
- Learns from your sets
- It reads the histories Rekordbox keeps of your gigs and sorts the rest of your library by what you actually played.
- Leaves your library alone
- It only ever adds playlists to Rekordbox. Nothing is renamed, moved or deleted, and it backs up first.

Questions
Will it change my Rekordbox library?
No. Selecta only adds playlists. It never deletes, renames or reorders anything you already have, it backs up your Rekordbox database first, and it won't write while Rekordbox is running.
What do I need?
A Mac with Apple silicon (M1 or newer) on macOS 15 Sequoia or later, and Rekordbox. Your music can be anywhere, on your disk or an external drive. Serato and Traktor aren't supported.
Does my music leave my computer?
No. Discogs gets an artist and a title, the Assistant gets track details, never audio.
How many devices can I use Selecta on?
Two. It also works offline for up to 30 days.
Can I cancel?
Any time, from your account page. You keep Selecta until the month you paid for ends.
